Is it just me or does the entire bloggosphere shut down from 5pm Friday and you won’t see any decent activity until Monday morning?
It is trend I’ve been noticing at the weekend when I have Google Reader open, I keep hitting refresh but nothing new appears, but if I was to do it on a weekday, I’ll get a new post or two. Maybe someone can recommend a blog that keeps up with posts even over the weekend?
So I’ve gone and done it, I’ve blown the last of my bank account balance on a new pc. Why? Because I figure there are some seriously good games coming out this year and its time to get back with things. Last time I did anything major with my pc was over 3 years ago. So I think I’ll hop onto the DirectX10 and Vista bandwagon now.
Sky Handling really managed to take the biscuit here. Not only did they manage to provide the worst customer service ever after loosing Damien’s bag they went ahead and signed him up for a few dating sites on his behalf with some “interesting” profiles.
I’d be getting ready to sue someone for libel at this stage….
So my Xbox died there recently and is likely out of warrenty (and this is the replacement that died) I decided to try my luck with Xbox support. Gave them a call and a few mintues later I was speaking to a support person who was asking me what the problem was.
Told him the ring of death when I power up and the power supply light is
green. He asked for the xbox serial number, pulled up my details on file and he said he would send me out a shipping label so it could be sent off for free to Germany for it to be repaired/replaced. Nice.
Spent less then 9 minutes on the phone too.
UPDATE: I’ve checked the tracking number and it was in Germany so it can’t be too much longer until I get it back.
For anyone keeping up with my twitter page, you’ll know yesterday was my birthday. So I can legally drink, smoke, vote, get married and various other things which comes with being an adult under Irish Law.
From my parents and brother I got a Budda Bag which is one of the most comfortable things to sit in ever. However I was up on my feet for most of yesterday so I haven’t got to breaking it in yet. From everyone else who showed up at the little shindig for friends and family yesterday (Mainly family since most of my friends are stuyding for that stupid exam on Wednesday) the gift of the day was cash.
Well that is pretty much that all comes to mind so I’m off to study now. I’ve made an updated list of what I’d like to do over the summer of which one is called HABP for the time being. Assuming it all goes to plan, it could be one of the best things I will ever do in my life.
It appears more information has surfed about Bertie and payments and as a result the PD’s look like they might resign from government. While I’m not completely au fait with the law as far as I know they couldn’t continue running the country since they don’t have enough seats. So who runs the country then?
You’d think this would affect FF popularity and according to this mornings poll… SUPPORT HAS GONE UP TWO DAMN PERCENT. What in the hell is wrong with this country?
For those who are wondering about le examen oral, it went reasonable ok.
In my mum’s never ending quest to have at least one redecoration project always in progress in the house, she decided to have the hall, stairs and landing plastered to get rid of the current texture on the walls.
Thursday: Got someone in for a quote and time etc
Saturday 8am: Arrived with equipment and friend
Saturday 6pm: Finished and gone.
I think I’ve figured out why plastering is done when a house is being built, because it is the most incredible bitch to get rid of. I look in areas I washed off with a cloth last night and they are once again covered in this fine white dust. I suspect it will be several weeks before the house returns to some sense of normality.
