Let the games begin.
And this will be different how…

I love it.
It is nice to know even giant companies like Google do on occasion make mistakes.
On the off chance that anyone in a tech company reads this blog, would they be interested in hiring me? My previous employer I never heard back from and I just got an email this morning back from Microsoft saying they’ll only do one year internships for college students (or that they’ll admit, i’m sure if you knew someone they could sort you out)
Some caveat’s though (not that I want to sound ungrateful or anything)
1) I’ve already done the whole summer doing tech support thing. I’d like to get experience in other things too
2) Since I’m reliant on public transport I’m not as mobile as I’d like. I know for a fact I can get to either to the City Center or Citywest with ease.
Edit:
3) Forgot the most important one, it would be a fairly short term since I (depending on grades of course :P) hopefully would have college starting in September
Is it just me or does the entire bloggosphere shut down from 5pm Friday and you won’t see any decent activity until Monday morning?
It is trend I’ve been noticing at the weekend when I have Google Reader open, I keep hitting refresh but nothing new appears, but if I was to do it on a weekday, I’ll get a new post or two. Maybe someone can recommend a blog that keeps up with posts even over the weekend?
Since I spent a ungodly amount of time on YouTube…

Easter holidays hurrah! Two weeks of relaxing.
I might of mentioned it before or I might not of but if you own an Xbox 360…. Buy Crackdown. Its just a game you can pick up and enjoy without having to get into it. Go in blow the shit out of some bad guys and then leave. Its just a fun game to play.
And I’ve just updated Wordpress to the latest version because of another round of security updates. I don’t know about you guys but does it seem updates are coming out more often for Wordpress in the last 6 months, I know I could go look at release dates and so on but that requires effort.
I don’t know about you guys but since Leaving Cert is looming (15 weeks until I never have to get up at 8am for school again!) I’ve been thinking of the things I’d like to get done by this time next year.
(1) Get full drivers license (Doing driving lessons now)
(2) Be well on the way to getting my PPL (Private Pilots License)
(3) Get my CCNA (Its not something you can read a few pages every night)
(4) Get into somewhere decent for College
(5) Start my own business (Idea is there but I doubt customers are)
(6) Project Tower. If you have to ask then don’t.
(7) Project Tower Mk II. See six
(8) Be more of an active blogger (Also includes the finishing of the draft posts sitting here)
(9) Work for either Microsoft or Google (or both!)
(10) Learn a programming language
It appears my Xbox360 console has just died. When I’m playing games I get a few minutes in and the screen either goes black and fills up with random colours so I sent an email off to Xbox support and got a fairly prompt reply back from Omar (Automated or not, prompt) telling me to call Customer support to resolve my problem.
I decided to double check my battery on my Dell laptop to see if was a suspect sony battery and liable to explode. And it is! So I now have a new battery on its way to me.
And only wanting to order books for this christmas, they won’t arrive in time unless I pay for the priority shipping which would make the shipping as expensive as the books. So I’ll wait then.
I’ve come home today to find I card shaped letter waiting for me, and as I was not expecting a card my curiosity was aroused. And I’ve opened it up to find a picture of earth from the moon and inside it says the following:
Thank You
Thank you for choosing XenPlanet this year. We appreciate your business.
Wishing you a happy holiday season, and a successful and a prosperous new year.

Now it may not seem like much but I have to say I was surprised to actually get a card from a business that I deal with regularly. It’s the little personal touch that would encourage me to give more business to them in the future.
