I thought I’d make a quick post to let you know that large multi-national corporation who I was interviewing with, I passed their european hiring committee only to be rejected by the US hiring committee for “lack of commercial experience”. Wank.
Now I have to start sending CV’s off again. I hate sending CV’s.

I was made redundant back in May and have been looking for another job since. I’ve been working in IT for 10 years and like yourself it is “lack of experience” is the most common excuse I’m getting.

Same deal here. I get a mix of “not enough” and “over qualified” far too often.
Same sort of thing here, but I get a mix of “over qualified” along with the “lack of experience”
