The program is called MPlayer, the player is based on the Windows Media Player just before Windows brought out the digital copy protection versions. Thats what I have been using and it is a great piece of software, some great options included in it. :) I had the same problem, there is another way around it. I have some DVDs from different regions, but I don't really want to have to change the settings on the drive and risk locking the drive. I think my DVD reader can only change zones 5 times.
