I don’t know about you guys but since Leaving Cert is looming (15 weeks until I never have to get up at 8am for school again!) I’ve been thinking of the things I’d like to get done by this time next year.
(1) Get full drivers license (Doing driving lessons now)
(2) Be well on the way to getting my PPL (Private Pilots License)
(3) Get my CCNA (Its not something you can read a few pages every night)
(4) Get into somewhere decent for College
(5) Start my own business (Idea is there but I doubt customers are)
(6) Project Tower. If you have to ask then don’t.
(7) Project Tower Mk II. See six
(8) Be more of an active blogger (Also includes the finishing of the draft posts sitting here)
(9) Work for either Microsoft or Google (or both!)
(10) Learn a programming language
Lets see…
(1) and (2) are probably going to take over a year anyway… but that’s no reason not to start.
(3) CCNA is bloody useful…
(4) Is linked to the Leaving isn’t it? Would any of the others get in the way?
(5) I’d advise looking in to this whaile doing (4). Think nixers at first…
(6) & (7) I simply don’t know enough about this so…
(8) Think if doing this with something else. Possible blog about items 1-7 and 9- 10
(9) Google have a sort of student projext every year. Try contacting them about it… You might just qualify for something over the holidays!
(10) You’ll probably need this to do (9). Look up (9) first and see if you want to do that version…
I know this post is aging but I had to comment considering how similar my list would be to yours.
Leaving Cert(5th Year) - Check.
CCNA - Check.
Start business - Check.
* Get into college - Check.

Ah 5th year the memories. Trust me it gets worse
Instead of summer holidays you get a nice exam instead!
