My school is a joke (and also catholic “apparently”)

Whatever wanker’s idea it was to make 2 hour block classes for the last three days should die. I feel like parts of my brain have just given up and died.

I go to school with a bunch of wankers as well. So 2 hours in certain classes with certain people just aren’t a good idea at all. You’d think at 6th year level, they would either grow up or drop out. But alas neither has happened here.

For example I have a very good teacher (I pass (and continue to) the subject now!) who has a class with possibly every wanker in my year in it. So instead of teaching she ends up wasting time giving out and dealing with said wankers (Of one who has been suspended about 11 times at this stage and yet he still comes to school) and the powers that be knowing damn well about the wankers in my class and the hassle the teacher gets continue to do nothing about it. Thats example one.

During said block classes one of my teachers didn’t show up for the first fourty minutes (We got bored and started playing with electricity) because the powers that be made him do something for them when he should of been teaching us. He was fuming when he finally got to us.

One of my teachers has suddenly decided to hate me for some unknown reason. An example of this would be one morning we were sitting in the demo room in a pattern like “Tom, Dick, Me and Harry” and we’re correcting some work and he asks Tom then Harry then Dick and moves on to other people in the class. Petty or what?

And today I’ve seen a 42″ flatscreen be installed over the trophy cabinet for some unknown reason. And as “Student IT Officer” (crap title I know) I’ve discovered the location of the server which keeps track of grades/attendence etc and its in the corner of the comms room (also where the cleaners keep their stuff) which is far too warm for a standard desktop pc to be running in without any visable means of backing up. They originally held the servers in there but then moved them out since the heat caused the HDD in the staff server to fail and I told them that would happen about 2 weeks before it did. I wish they’d respect my professional opinion on matters like these.

And initally when we joined the school it was a multidenominational school but it turns out its actually a catholic school after all. So some teachers did some digging and after getting in contact with the Archbishop it turned out we were a catholic school after all. And despite the Board of Managment knowing this, they still haven’t changed any reference to this. For anyone who goes to the same school as I do, look in your journal on the first few pages and you’ll see multidenominational mentioned.

And despite only being open 7 years, we’re building an extension on to the school as it turns out the school is too small. Lack of foresight and planning seem to be a common factor in the running of this place. That is all for now.
